Marathon Training Day #94: New Orleans-bound


First run back post-sinus infection. I had 6k on the schedule and was told to take it easy. I decided to do my usual hilly 5k loop through Riverdale Park because it conveniently goes by an RBC and I needed money for New Orleans stat. Getting started was rough. I felt weak and was coughing every few steps. But once I got to the bank, took a breather and headed home, I started to get into a groove. The run was hard and slow, but it got done.

We made it to NOLA safe and sound. I’m a bit nervous about figuring out a 25k route that’s safe and easy to navigate on Sunday, but we have time.
